Published by George Allen and Unwin, London, 1961. Thirteenth impression, complete with original 13th impression price clipped dust jacket. Jacket is pretty free from staining.

Some chipping to the back cover (SEE PHOTOS) and a few small chips top of spine. Otherwise it's really clean and bright.

Slight bend in the binding. Book has a few spots on foredge, otherwise an excellent copy.

All illustrations are securely in place and clean. Ink inscripion May Gandalf go with you! SRS Christmas 1963 and owners name. Small arrow next to C. Lewis on inside back of dust jacket.

No other marks, tears or folds. A very nice and entirely presentable copy of a very early Hobbit.

A great addition to any collection. Lots of images to go by. Listing other Tolkien books from my collection, including a rebound Return Of The King 1st ed/1st Imp.
