The Lord Of The Rings!! Three Book Club Printings of the Second Revised Edition!! The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers and The Return Of The King. All three books are Hardcovers with their original dust jackets. All three books were published by Houghton, Mifflin Company in 1982 except The Return Of The King which was published in 1983. All three books are Book Club Editions, (BCE's), of the Second Revised Edition. I realize it should go without saying, but please remember these are NOT First Editions/First Printings. All three books have varying degrees of wear, especially to theor dust jackets, but are still in Highly Collectible condition. The Fellowship Of The Ring Being the First Part of The Lord Of The Rings. The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris. The binding is tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean!

Some general/shelf wear along with a noticeable lean, bumping/creases/scuffing/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, wear to the pages and marks/wear to the edge/fore pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear on the spine/corners/cloth boards! The original dust jacket is fully intact but has SUBSTANTIAL wear! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, chipping, marks and numerous, large rips/tears.

There are also some large, marks/stains and pieces of tape on the inside of the dust jacket, NOT visible unless the jacket is fully removed but still worth mentioning/considering. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners, on both the front and rear covers and along both the top and bottom edges!

The wear to the dust jacket is SUBSTANTIAL and VERY clearly visible! Of all three books, this copy has the most wear. We are limited to only twelve pictures so we made a concerted effort to highlight some of the most damaged areas. The Two Towers Being the Second Part of The Lord Of The Rings. The original dust jacket is fully intact.

The Return Of The King Being the Third Part of The Lord Of The Rings. While this dust jacket is probably in the best condition of all three books, the wear is still VERY clearly visible. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear/age when determining the value of this VERY RARE Collection.

Being allowed to only post twelve photographs, we did our best to try and capture both the beauty and the flaws these three books. As previously mentioned, while all three books are still in highly collectible condition, the wear, to varying degrees and particularly to their dust jackets, is extensive and very clearly visible. If this collection didn't have so many issue pertaining to the condition of their dust jackets, especially Fellowship Of The Ring, our asking price would be considerably higher.
