Lord Of The Rings By Tolkien - Ace Pb Pirated Editions 1965. The unauthorized Ace paperback editions of Lord of the Rings. Cover art by Jack Gaughan. First (and only) Ace Edition(s). The unauthorized (pirated) Ace paperback editions of LotR. Published without Tolkien's blessing, these Ace editions were soon after discontinued, making them exceedingly rare and a collector's must. Includes The Fellowship of the Ring (A-4), The Two Towers (A-5), and The Return of the King (A-6). These are in relatively good condition. Covers are still bright and pages are intact.

Spines show heavy creasing; books have been read and enjoyed. It looks as if a young aspiring artist decided to draw cell mitosis inside the first few pages of "The Fellowship of the Ring". Some staining to tops of text blocks, but it doesn't effect internal pages.
