Published by The Easton Press, USA, appears to be undated, but is possibly a 1987 printing as one of the inserts is dated December 1987. Leather covers with gilt decoration, all page edges gilt, textured endpapers, full colour frontis by Michael Hague, plus a number of illustrations by J. Tolkien, some in green and black, others in full colour.
