The Lord of The Rings by J. George Allen & Unwin publishers 1959 first edition, The Fellowship of The Ring 8th impression in 5th impression jacket, The Two Towers 6th impression, The Return of The King 5th impression. The Fellowship jacket - 4cm tear to bottom edge of spine, 2 cm tear to bottom edge of rear flap, 1 cm tear to the bottom edge of front by the flap.

Price clipped to front flap, rear flap shows price of 21s, with a few small chips to the spine ends. Jackets are otherwise in very similar condition - spines a little tanned and faded, otherwise bright with some minor spots.

Jackets are in very tidy acid free protective wrappers. Rich red cloth covers, gilt titles to spine, red top edge, spines with some faint dark marks, spine leans, edge of page blocks with some light spotting, first and last few pages with some faint spots, pages a little age toned, complete with fold out maps which are age toned and with some minor spots.

The Fellowship corners have a few small bumps. The Return of The King has a bookseller stamp to the front endpaper which is also partly tanned. Will be carefully bubblewrapped and packed in a box.
